PHOTOGRAPHER,
DIRECTOR, VISUAL ARTIST
In 2025 she was awarded a grant from the Lithuanian Culture Council and shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery for her autobiographical series Kitchen Table. That same year she travelled to the Arctic as part of The Arctic Circle Residency, an expedition fostering interdisciplinary dialogue between artists and scientists around climate fragility.
Her practice is defined by a process-led approach - bridging analogue darkroom techniques with contemporary themes. Her work explores themes of intimacy, ecological fragility, and memory through colour-rich, tactile image-making and her images often occupy the threshold between abstraction and narrative.
Jurga is co-founder of Studio Monde and 318 Art Lab, where she leads the image direction and cultural programming.
